Mihails Novikovs

One of the best drummers of the young generation. Born in Latvia, this year he is studying jazz drumming at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre the Jazz Department. Mihails actively performs with various groups. In 2019, he had a 13 concert tour with the band Subtilu-Z in Russia. In 2020, he started playing in the group U’Elements, recorded an album ‘Warm White‘ with them in 2021, and first presented the album in various concerts in Lithuania.

He also plays in the groups SynthEtika and ‘21st Century Quintet’, with which he won second place in the Kaunas Jazz competition, and was later invited to perform at the Kaunas Jazz 2020 festival.

Vienas geriausių jaunosios kartos būgnininkų. Gimė Latvijoje, šiuo metu studijuoja būgnus LMTA džiazo katedroje. Aktyviai koncertuoja su įvairiomis grupėmis. 2019 metais su grupe Subtilu-Z turėjo 13 koncertų turą Rusijoje. 2020 metais pradėjo groti grupėje U’Elements, su ja 2021 įrašė albumą “Warm White“, surengė pristatymo koncertus Lietuvoje.

Taip pat groja grupėse „SynthEtika“, “21‘st Century Quintet”, su kuria laimėjo antrą vietą konkurse „Kaunas Jazz“, buvo pakviesti koncertuoti festivalyje „Kaunas Jazz 2020“.
